Maple class have been learning about Antarctica this term and investigated the different art techniques used by the Inuit.
Inuit art represents the harsh life in the Arctic and the children learnt about the subjects the Inuit work with and why they chose them as the focus of their artwork. They investigated different types of Inuit sculptures and, of course, the very famous Inukshuk.
The children then created their own Inushuck sculpture using recycled materials. They were very happy with the finished results.
