Whole school events coming up

St Patrick’s Day Wednesday 17th March

We will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day next Wednesday and the children and staff will be marking the day by wearing something green and the children will learn about the patron Saint of Ireland.

Elimination of Discrimination Day at St Paul’s Monday 29th March

International Elimination of Discrimination Day is on Sunday the 21st March, 2021. Our school will be supporting this day on Monday 29th March by teaching children a variety of skills in order to understand diversity and how we can live out our school values in an anti-discriminatory way.  We will have an opportunity to look at the document published by the Church of England ‘Valuing all God’s Children’ as well as having debates around what discrimination is and ways of eliminating it. Each class will be taught a song by Miss McDonald, which will be recorded for our website. The children will have an opportunity to produce a piece of work which will contribute to a whole school display promoting diversity ‘as the new normal’ in all its forms.

Breakfast Bags from School Food Matters

We will coninute to offer free food bags every other week on a Tuesday  but we will now send these bags home with your child. A massive thank you to the School Food Matters Team for this. Please note that we have no say whatsoever regarding the contents of the bags as it is decided by the School Food Matters charity and what is donated to them. The next bag will be coming home on Tuesday 23rd March and the the next one Tuesday 30th March. The parcel on Tuesday 30th March will have 2 weeks worth of food for over the Easter break. This will be the last breakfast bag as the School Food Matters Programme ends at Easter.
