Today was an exciting day for the choir as they performed twice in one day. Father John stated, ‘The choir sounded like angels!’ as they sang a gospel version of Hark the Herald at the Christmas church service.
The next performance was at the Walworth Golden Oldies Community Care Project, a community hub dedicated to supporting elders in our area. As part of our holiday celebrations, St. Paul’s pupils were invited to join the attendees of the club for an afternoon of Christmas carol singing. This was a wonderful opportunity for our choir to spread festive cheer, and the elderly residents greatly enjoyed the warmth and joy that the young voices brought. The choir were equally excited to perform and brighten their day and received rapturous applause.
Ms Batchelor, Ms McDonald and Miss Denise accompanied the children on this joyous occasion. The choir is currently full, but places will become available throughout the year. Why not attend the next church service and hear them sing!

“Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled”
Joyful, all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With angelic hosts proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem
Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King!”
