Ash class are learning about dinosaurs this term and in their art lessons they have explored the work of Dmitry Bogdanov, a Russian artist renowned for his dinosaur art.
The aim was to create a dinosaur picture in the style of the artist, focusing on key aspects such as colour, composition, lines and shapes used. First, we looked at a collection of Bogdanov’s paintings to try to draw similarities between them, using artistic vocabulary to discuss what we could see and noticed. We were able to identify the features of Bogdanov’s art, such as bold shapes, the use of cool colours and a rather plain background, and tried to include these in our final pieces.
What fantastic art you have created Ash class, the colours and shapes are wonderful!
