The children finally were able to embark on a well anticipated trip to High Ashurst in Dorking for some amazing outdoor learning and team building exercises.
High Ashurst Outdoor Education Centre is set in 56 acres of woodland on Box Hill, near Dorking, in the tranquil Surrey Hills ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. The site has a colourful history with records dating back to 1706. Today High Ashurst is a wonderful wide-open space for learning and self-discovery in the natural environment.
The centre offers a wide range of activities including adventure/night walks, archery, challenge course, climbing and abseiling on our state of the art climbing tower, high ropes, mountain biking, orienteering, team tasks and woodland skills.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and relished at the opportunity to meet some of the many challenges that they faced on this trip. We took some pictures, which can be seen in the gallery below. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
