This week is Science and Engineering Week where the theme is ‘connections’. We will be helping the children to make connections between Science and everyday life. We have been identifying ‘not-so-obvious’ jobs that involve the use of Science such as chef, electrician, mechanic etc and understanding that Scientists are all around us (including many of you parents!)

We hope that by the end of the week, we will have erased the children’s stereotypical view of a Scientist being a man in a lab working with chemicals so that they can see themselves as Scientists too. Miss O’Sullivan will lead a collective worship on this next week to tie it all together. Look out for a display around the school on it as well!
