Redwood class have been learning about street art, also known as graffiti art this term. They investigated various types of graffiti, learnt how it divides opinion and identified distinctive features of graffiti art. After using their sketchbooks to practice different types of fonts, colour patterns, and practicing drawing the letters overlapping each other, the children created their own name tags in a graffiti style.
They chose the amount of detail/extras, font style and the background, and after recapping the colour wheel, they carefully applied the colour scheme for their artwork. Sponges were used to print a brick wall for the background and the name tag was attached. Well done, Redwood class!
