We joined Redwood Class this morning who were busy reading a fantastic book entitled “Leon and the place between” by Angela McAllister.
Learning Objective:
The children were tasked with reading and understanding the book and to use questions and statements to record a conversation. To understand the use of questions in speech. Using a question mark when asking a question and using a range of sentence types to record a conversation.
About the book:
Leon and his brothers and sister go to a magic show, but this is no ordinary show and Abdul Kazam is no ordinary magician. Take a journey right through the die-cut pages of this book into the Place Between, where magic becomes truly real. Angela McAllister has conjured a spellbinding story that unfolds in the mysterious world of Grahame Baker-Smith’s stunning illustrations.
