Ash class have been learning about Pablo Picasso and his works of art this term. They found out that not only was he a painter, but he created pottery and wrote poems as well.
In the first session, they used water colours to experiment with colour, shape, and pattern in their sketchbooks before creating their own clay sculptures of Pablo Picasso’s famous King and Queen vases in session two.
Next, they added colour by painting their sculptures, carefully mixing the appropriate colour and adding the patterns and details. Lastly, the children added the finishing touches, the face and crown of their King and Queen before evaluating their artwork and celebrating what went well.
