Ash class have been learning about Pablo Picasso and studied his famous King and Queen vases created in 1952 and 1953. For their second session in art, they created clay sculptures of either the King or Queen, ready to add colour and patterns with paint in the next lesson.
They kneaded, rolled, and moulded their clay before carving it into shape. The children thought about the shape, outline, and size of their vase before leaving it to dry.
