Early April, Chestnut Class performed their original song about Pasley Park- formerly the Surrey Zoological Garden- to not only the school but also some local Councillors and members of the Walworth Society.
Initially the class had written a selection of lyrics which were then made into a song by Tyrone Landau, a member of the Walworth Society. He then worked with the children to practice and perfect the song and actions before their performance today.
Some of our visitors included Cllr John Batteson, Cllr Natasha Ennin as well as Jeremy Leach, Peta Steel, Norma Lawrence, Jim and Nicole Bedell, Neil Crossfield , Diana Cochrane and Tyrone Landau of the Walworth Society, Peter Chadwick and Father John of St Paul’s and Father Andrew from St. Peter’s. The performance was an absolute success and showcased the children’s musicality and talent.
