On Friday 9th March 2018 a group of 5 children went and visited West Ham Foundation (a trainee college for footballers) along with 3 other schools. There they learnt about some of the activities that players have to do to keep them flexible and warm up. They also watch 25 minutes of a football match where they had to decide who the best players were and why.
Next we were taken to the Olympic Stadium which is where West Ham football team are based. We were given a tour of the building including the changing rooms, the indoor 100m practise track (all children got to test it out) and the main field where the groundsmen were preparing for the Bobby Moore 25th Anniversary match being held the next day.
Finally along with St Josephs (Borough) we took a look around the rest of Queen Elizabeth Park to look at other buildings connected with the Olympics before returning to school.
