Throughout October and into November 2017 Bacons College set up a new initiative entitled “Superstars” and have been working with four Primary Schools within Southwark including St Paul’s Primary School.
The Superstars initiative creates an environment where children can gain access to culture that they would not normally have the opportunity to take part in. One of these elements was visiting and working with the staff and dancers at the Royal Ballet.
The children had the amazing opportunity to appear on stage with the performers for the dance interpretation of the famous story “Alice in Wonderland”. The children had an amazing time at the Royal Ballet and really enjoyed being part of the performance.
After the performance as a special treat, the children were invited to dress up and attend a wonderful Mad Hatters Tea Party. The children dressed up as the characters from this historical book. We took some pictures of their visit, which can be seen in the gallery below.
