Maple Class Art – Fire of London

In Maple Class we have been learning about The Great Fire of London. During our art lessons we have created paintings of the houses with flames made by mixing paint colours. This technique helps the children understand how to make a new colour from two or three other colours.

We then added extra flames and texture to our painting by using coloured tissue paper. We took some pictures of our work, which can be seen in the gallery below. You can also see a wonderful display of this project in the school.
